Betsy Martin

Poet

Betsy Martin is the author of the poetry chapbook, Whale’s Eye (Press Press, 2019). She has published poetry in many journals, including Atlanta Review, The Briar Cliff Review, Cloudbank, Drunk Monkeys, The Green Hills Literary Lantern, Juked, The Louisville Review, The MacGuffin, The Midwest Quarterly, Pennsylvania English, Pirene’s Fountain, THINK, and Wrath-Bearing Tree.

A native of Washington, DC, she earned an AB in English from Harvard College, an MA from the Middlebury Russian School, and an MA in Slavic Languages from Brown University. She spent a year studying in Moscow at the Pushkin Institute during the twilight of the Soviet Union. She is also a visual artist and lives outside Boston with her husband, David.
